Industrial design registrations in Morocco protect aesthetic or ornamental aspects of an article. Submissions, filed with OMPIC, must meet eligibility requirements regarding novelty or originality.

• Design registrations typically last for an initial term of five years, renewable twice for a total of 15 years.

Registered design holders can take legal actions if identical or substantially similar designs appear in the Moroccan market without authorization.
