Inventa team members appointed to INTA Committees for 2026 - 2027

We are pleased to announce the members of the Inventa team who have been appointed to the 2026-2027 term of the International Trademark Association (INTA) Committees.

Over the next two years, they will have the opportunity to contribute their experience, collaborate with industry leaders, and reflect on policies that have a global impact within the international trademark community.

Maputo International Fair | FACIM 2025

From August 25 to 31, the 60th edition of FACIM - Maputo International Fair was held in Mozambique. The event brought together the main economic agents for the country's largest international fair.

This year's theme was “promoting economic diversification towards sustainable and competitive development in Mozambique,” with the aim of stimulating new sectors and strengthening the country's economy in an inclusive and innovative way.

China International Trademark & Brand Festival

The upcoming China Trademark Festival, starting on September 5th in Taiyuan, focuses on national intellectual property strategy and the implementation of brand strategies. This year, the theme highlights “Inheritance · Innovation · Sharing”.

Inventa will join the event, represented by 張晶 Crystal Zhang, with the purpose to exchange some ideas regarding intellectual property services.

CIPAC 2025

The 14th edition of the China Intellectual Property Annual Conference (CIPAC) is taking place on September 11 and 12, in Beijing, China. This event brings together industry professionals to discuss a range of intellectual property related topics.

The event’s sessions will discuss IP protection, trademark strategies in the digital era, laws and regulations, IP information services, amongst others discussion sessions throughout the event.

2025 AIPPI World Congress

Tiago Reis Nobre and Vítor Palmela Fidalgo will attend the AIPPI World Congress in Yokohama, Japan. The event will focus on intellectual property's role in artificial intelligence and Japan's unique legal and cultural traditions. During the four-days, the event will feature panel discussions, keynote speakers and social events, covering a wide range of topics such as IP examinations and protection, trademarks and patents.

Alliance Summit Awards 2025

We are proud to share that Inventa received a Special Distinction in the “Best IP Advisor” category for Portugal at the Leaders League Alliance Summit 2025, held on June 11th in Miami, USA.

The Alliance Summit, organized by Leaders League, brought together top legal and business professionals from over 40 countries. The Summit’s Award Ceremony celebrated legal excellence, recognizing the most distinguished legal departments, firms, and IP advisors from around the world.

Organized by the Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group, the PTMG Autumn Conferences bring together IP and pharmaceutical professionals to explore a wide range of topics related to trademarks in the pharmaceutical industry and beyond.

ECTA Annual Conference 2025

The 43rd Annual Conference of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA), themed "Bears on the Loose," will take place in Berlin, Germany, from June 18 to 21, 2025.

IP experts will engage in thought-provoking discussions on the key topics shaping the future of IP. The event will feature a variety of sessions addressing current issues, including the impact of artificial intelligence, IP rights, and brand protection strategies, among others.

Mauritius joins the Harare Protocol: A new chapter for regional IP protection in Africa

The Harare Protocol, one of ARIPO’s cornerstone agreements, allows applicants to secure protection for patents, utility models, and industrial designs through a single ARIPO application, with the same effect as if filed directly in each designated member state. This regional mechanism has long been a valuable tool for rights holders seeking efficient, centralized IP protection across participating African jurisdictions. In this context, we would like to highlight the recent expansion of the system.
