In Memoriam: Carlos Reis Nobre

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carlos Reis Nobre, founder of Inventa.

Since the 1970s, his strategic vision and pioneering spirit were instrumental in transforming Inventa into one of the leading intellectual property firms in Africa, establishing strong partnerships across numerous countries on the continent.

With over 60 years of experience, Carlos Reis Nobre was a true pillar, both within our team and in the international IP community.

Méridor Kongota Ndelo joins us in Lisbon HQ from Inventa DR Congo

Inventa had the pleasure of welcoming Méridor Kongota Ndelo to our headquarters in Lisbon. Méridor is a Lawyer and Trademark and Patent Attorney at our office in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. During his visit, insightful and productive meetings were held to discuss strategies for strengthening intellectual property (IP) in DR Congo.

PTMG Spring Conference 2025

Tiago Nobre, Managing Partner, and Vítor Palmela Fidalgo, Legal Director at Inventa, will attend the PTMG Spring Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland, on 24/25 March 2025.

Throughout the event, they will connect with international peers to explore intellectual property strategies, address emerging trends and challenges in copyright and trademark law, particularly within the pharmaceutical sector.

Iberian Summit & Awards 2025

The 2025 Iberian Summit & Awards, hosted by Leaders League, took place on March 11 at the Hyatt Regency Hesperia in Madrid. The event gathered business leaders from across the Iberian region to network, exchange insights, and explore new opportunities.

As part of the summit, an awards ceremony recognized outstanding individuals and organizations across 30 categories, including the legal sector, celebrating excellence and leadership. 

Lagos Tech Fest 2025

With over 40 speakers and more than 2000 attendees, the 5th edition of Lagos Tech Fest took place on February 20th, bringing together startups, innovators, investors, and government representatives shaping the future of Nigeria’s tech ecosystem.

The event provided a platform for meaningful discussions, networking, and insights into key industry trends. Key topics included Financial inclusion, Venture Capital & Private Equity, AI & Cloud, the Creative Economy, Identity & Fraud, E-commerce, Digital Infrastructure, among others.
