It is manifest the growing interest of mankind in disruptive themes as Artificial Intelligence (AI). As we have been analyzing, this theme has increased its significance as the inventions reach new and inspiring outcomes. This article intends to analyze if there have been a growing tendency on patent applications related to AI in the European Patents Office or if, besides all the euphoria, we are still far away from a technological boom particulary inventive.

HangZhou received the 10th Edition of CIPAC - China Intellectual Property Conference. This major event brings together a wide number of Intellectual Property (IP) professionals, from all industries.

Inventa International participated on the 33rd Edition of FILDA - Luanda International Trade Fair, the most participated business event in Angola.

From 9 to 13 July, our local team was available, with a booth, to receive the business owners and other visitants, explaining how to protect Intellectual Property assets in Angola.

The event took place on the 6 and 7 June 2019 with an agenda focused on the most innovative worldwide trends.

Inventa International attended this event to keep up with the latest entrepreneurial novelties, and to share with the participants some advises on how to protect their Intellectual Property assets.

Infosecurety Europe is one of the most important Cyber Security events worldwide, that every year brings business and tech together.

Inventa International was represented by João Batalha, at this event, where he had the chance to talk about some IT platforms the company is developing to keep up with business and client’s requirements.

This year the event took place in London, where thousands of top leading professionals gathered to debate the latest security challenges and developments to keep business and personal information secure.

The real impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the various fields of Law is still largely unknown. However, as stated in the European Parliament resolution of 16 February 2017 with recommendations to the Commission on Civil Law Rules on Robotics (2015/2103(INL))  (v. 015/2103(INL)), no one doubts that this industrial revolution “is likely to leave no stratum of society untouched”, which is why is “vitally important for the legislature to consider its legal and ethical implications and effects, without stifling innovation” (vid. p. 3, B).

Inventa International participated on London IP 2018, that took place from 10 to 12 December.

During this event more than 400 professionals got together with more than 60 speakers, for thought-provoking discussions looking at the most contemporary trends in the world of IP. Highly participated and interactive, this initiative allowed the participants to get up to speed with the latest business issues, in order to ensure the best IP practices and strategies.

Web Summit is the world’s most well-known technology conference, not only for presenting the state of the art in tech, but also for being a launch platform for startup companies. Innovation and entrepreneurship are at the core of this event, that chose Lisbon to be its home for the next 10 years.

We couldn´t miss this event, not only because it takes place next door to our Lisbon Office, but mostly and foremost because it embodies what we aim to help our partners and clients to secure – intelligence.

This year’s AIPLA Annual meeting was held in Washington. Numerous Intellectual Property - IP professionals from across the globe got together, to overview major issues concerning this business.

A wide range of topics, related with Trademarks, Copyright, Patent Licensing and Patent Litigation were on the agenda that also approached the concerns with Artificial Intelligence and Copyright.

Recognized has one of the major worldwide events, ICANN Meetings gather a wide range of professionals, including Government Representatives, IT Managers and Consultants, Intellectual Property Managers and Academics, among other professionals, who contribute to the continuing stable, secure and resilient operation of the Internet.
